A blend of Sangiovese and Merlot grapes grown exclusively on the estate. The Assedio is a lively ruby red with good consistency and color concentration, and with a velvety smooth texture. A pleasantly intense nose with strong balsamic notes, such as eucalyptus and with tones of shrub and mushrooms, all elegantly intertwined with rhubarb and licorice root that leads to a memorable finish of slightly sweet black cherry. A well-balanced wine that is reminiscent of the territorial expression of the Orcia Valley, and what the Sangiovese grape is famous for.
